Please take the time to read over this page before booking your visit. Should your appointment need to be cancelled due to a condition below the client will still be responsible for paying for the allotted time. Please note that booking fee's are non refundable.
Medical Eligibility
My services may not be suitable for everyone. If you answer yes to any of the conditions below you may require medical permission to proceed.

Clients must be 18+ to receive permanent makeup treatments. No exceptions. Minors may receive piercings and aesthetic services with guardian approval and attendance.

Diabetics should discuss treatment plan with their medical providers. Long term use of blood thinners could sacrifice results. Please disclose your information with your artist and doctor.

High blood pressure or bleeding disorders should be disclosed.

Those with a tendency to keloid should avoid unnecessary trauma to the skin.

Those with serious diseases such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, and circulatory issues should consult with their healthcare providers.

Allergies to metals, pigments, or numbing agents should be disclosed.​

Having blood thinners or retinol in the system can lead to poor results. Please check with your doctor to inquire about safely removing these products from your regimen.

Accutane users should wait 8-12 months before booking intensive services as the skin tissue is compromised and could increase chances of scarring.

Botox and filler should be done 2 weeks before/after PMU services. Please disclose any other aesthetic services received in the treatment area such as laser, chemical peels, microneedling, tinting, lamination, or other chemical/injectable services.

If you deal with post inflammatory hyper/hypopigmentation please note in your medical history form.

I can not work over existing blemishes, rashes, sunburns, or otherwise compromised skin barriers.

POLICIES

Medical History
It is important that you complete your medical history form completely and TRUTHFULLY as not all people are eligible for cosmetic tattoos. Cosmetic Tattoos by Jess LLC will not be held liable for effects due to false or omitted medical history.

Booking Fee
A booking fee of $50 for permanent makeup and $10 for piercings is required to book and hold your appointment. Invoices are due immediately upon scheduling. Appointments with overdue balances are automatically cancelled after 24 hours. This amount will be credited towards your total balance. It is non refundable and we hold the right to keep it if you are late (10 min +) or are a no show.

Payment + Financing
Payment is due immediately upon completion. Cash is preferred but we also accept all major debit and credit cards. We are subject to change pricing at any given time. Client's who booked in advance before a rate change, will not be effected by the updated pricing. Financing applications should be approved before clients scheduled appointment and are valid for 30 days. Fee's may apply to financing and credit transactions.

Late Policy
Due to scheduling commitments to other clients and our staff's personal schedules we may need to reschedule any appointment for which you are more than 10 minutes late. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late to your appointment, it will be canceled and you will forefeit your inital deposit. A new deposit will be required to book a new time.

Cancellations
Appointments are especially reserved for you. I understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary. I respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations and appointment changes. In the event that you do not show up for a scheduled appointment, you will lose your booking fee and any future appointments will require a 50% payment up front. In case you were a no show or cancel the same day again, the 50% payment will not be refunded.

Appointment
Please be sure to keep your schedule open the day of the procedure. Cosmetic tattoos are not a lunch break procedure and appointment times can vary depending on a variety of factors. I cannot accommodate tight schedules as these are not services that can be rushed. Additionally, my services more often than not have a healing period in which you must adhere to certain instructions. Please do not schedule if you have an important event in the 2 weeks that follow your appointment.

Guests
Due to space limitations and the nature of the procedures I cannot allow for extra guests both children and adults alike. My studio is also a food/drink free zone. If you should need to eat or drink please do so in the waiting area located in the front of the building.

Come Prepared
Out of respect for others on the schedule please arrive ready to get started. You should have a balanced breakfast to regulate blood sugars. Please wear warm clothing as I cannot provide blankets for PMU or piercing appointments. Upon booking log into your patient portal to fill out the required consent forms. Upon arrival you will be asked to present your ID. Headphones and a preloaded podcast/audiobook are recommended for longer appointments!

Refunds
I stand proudly behind my work. My appointments are extremely thorough and I follow my clients feedback throughout the session to ensure results that you will be happy with. Creating your new shape is a collaborative process and I don't proceed without signed consent. For these reasons I do NOT offer refunds. All sales are final.
PMU PRECARE
Below is an important list to follow. They will ensure the best possible healed results. Please note that failure to adhere to this list may lead to undesirable healed results such as blurring, scarring, or failed color retention.

Avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, soft drinks containing caffeine 24 hours prior to the procedure. This can thin the blood causing excess bleeding that will provide unpredictable results.

Avoid aspirin/ibuprofen/niacin 24 hours prior. Tylenol is ok.

Avoid fish oil 3 days before
-
Avoid retinol/retin A (Do not use at least 30 days prior)
-
Avoid waxing/tweezing/threading 48 hours before procedure
-
Avoid tinting 1 month before
-
Avoid chemical peels/laser. Treatments must be done 1-2 months prior.
-
Avoid tanning 1 week before appointment. Sunburned areas or compromised skin cannot be worked over.
-
Due to bloodborne pathogens I cannot provide blankets or porous items. Please wear warm clothing (yes even in the summer) or bring a disposable blanket.
-
ID is required for all permanent makeup (PMU) and piercing appointments. Please arrive with a valid form of identification ready to go and take care of any consent forms before arriving through the patient portal.

Headphones recommended for client comfort. Minimal movement = best results. Please eat a good breakfast to regulate blood sugar and keep you satiated for the hours to come.
PMU AFTERCARE
-
Immediately after blot brows with cotton round every 15 min for the first hour.
-
Use only clean hands and disposable one time use materials when interacting with area.
-
Brows can be washed with a gentle soap such as Cetaphil or antibacterial dial soap.
-
No working out or sweating for at least 5-7 days.
-
Once the flaking process begins do not pick any scabs prematurely. Even accidental peeling can result in poor retention.
-
Avoid excessive sun and water exposure. After 14 days you may apply sunblock to prevent fading.
-
If you have dry skin you can use an artist approved ointment. No oil or vaseline.
Lip Blush
-
Immediately after blot lips with cotton round every 15 min for the first hour.
-
Lips can be washed with a gentle soap such as Cetaphil or antibacterial dial soap.
-
Use artist approved healing ointment. Lips will need to remain constantly moisturized.
-
Be cautious when eating or brushing teeth. Spicy food and toothpaste can irritate the area.
-
For hygienic reasons no kissing, smoking, or any similar interactions should occur for 3-5 days.
-
No working out or sweating for at least 5-7 days.
-

Avoid excessive sun and water exposure.
PIERCING AFTERCARE

Keep your new piercing clean, dry, and do not touch.
-
Wash your hands thoroughly before spraying entrance and exit holes with saline wash solution. This product can be purchased in studio or at your local retailer/amazon.
-
Wipe away any discharge or debris from jewelry with a non woven gauze or clean paper towel saturated with saline.
-
When showering do not submerge piercing but do allow for water to rinse away saline accumulation. A gentle antibacterial soap can be used.
-
Dry your new piercing after cleaning. A fan or hair dryer on the cool setting is ideal.
-
Do not attempt to change jewelry before the 6 week mark. Piercings can take months and sometimes years to fully heal.

Please return for a downsize as ill fitting jewelry can irritate the piercing or shift the piercing channel. A new post is $15 for hypoallergenic threadless titanium

Do not touch, twist, or turn the jewelry while healing.
-
Do not leave wet hair down on your new piercing or sleep on it.
Piercings for Minors
REQUIREMENTS
People 17 and younger are prohibited from receiving a body piercing unless prior consent is granted by the person’s parent or legal guardian. In addition, the parent or legal guardian of a person 17 and younger must be physically present at the time of the procedure and show evidence they are the parent or legal guardian of the person receiving the tattoo or body piercing. A person may not receive a tattoo or body piercing if they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
